I long for & miss so much the ebb and flow of the city.
The sun set early now, lights come on, people go out. Our lives converge on the pedestrian streets, smoke from chestnuts roasting fills the air. People are out for a walk, for a drink, a conversation, to shop.
My energy is instantly lifted; I feel as if I could say inside this insulated cocoon of anominity forever. I love & long for the seasonal change that has finally come, giving me thoughts of love, of time, of the beauty of the city and all it gives. The life force it is.
The feeling of autonomy, smiling at stranger, no one to know & bother you, doing as you like without intervention from others.
I savor it.
I relish it.
But long to share it.
