PHX Revisited

This is the image as I remember it, a plane in the air over the orange dusk of the desert.

The foothills in the distance as the day gives way to a cooler, somehow more optimistic night.

Why do the days in the desert always feel less inspiring than the nights?

The harsh daylight isn’t conducive to thought, only sweat.  The nights, while still hot, have promise and youthfulness within it.
